Barbara Clopton

After moving to Brownwood in 1995, our family was drawn to Heartland by the consistently solid Word that came forth, and we quickly found it to be our church home. After serving in the Ministry of Helps in every capacity needed from cleaning, to working in the office, or assisting in planning and implementing special events for over 14 years, I was honored to be asked to join the Heartland Ministries’ staff as Ministry of Helps Director where I served until 2017.  That fall I was transitioned to assist in the finance dept of the ministry alongside my daughter, Elisa Roland, and to administratively assist Pastor Emily of the Feed Store in Santa Anna. Being a part of Heartland Ministries as a member of the body, serving in the Ministry of Helps and on its staff, has been such an honor and I look forward to doing so for many years to come. I am the blessed mom of an amazing daughter, two amazing sons and the ‘Gigi’ to 3 beautiful & brilliant granddaughters.

Financial Director

I first came to Heartland Church, with my parents as a young teenager, so I have had the privilege of growing up here.  I served in a variety of ways until moving to attend Texas Bible Institute, in Columbus, Texas, where I graduated from the Leadership Training Program in May of 2000.  While serving on Summer Staff 2000 at B.M.I. / Discovery Camp, the Lord spoke to me and said “Go back home, serve Pastors Ken & Dawn and your Heartland Church family”.  I finished out my commitment for the summer, returned home, talked to Pastor’s and got plugged in, wherever I was needed.  I served in any way needed, while working full time outside of the church, until being added to staff in the fall of 2001.  Over the years, I have had the honor to serve Heartland in many different capacities.  Currently, I serve as the Financial Director and in various administrative duties.  However, to this day, my heart is to serve the Lord, by serving the Heartland Church body, in any way that I am needed. I met my husband, Chris Roland when he started attending Heartland.  We were married in Aug of 2003, and we have two beautiful daughters, Sophia & Serena. I consider it a true honor to be a part of this wonderful church family.
